46 enthusiastic youngsters from
the various schools in the Udupi Diocese thronged Don Bosco Youth Centre on 1st
April 2013 to attend the Hill Thrill Camp. This camp is being organized
by the Salesians of Don Bosco for the catholic boys of 7th and 8th std.
The boys are exposed to exciting and adventurous experiences such as living in
tents, preparing statues, flowers, friendship bands, trek to the riverside
etc. Together with this they are given faith and value based sessions on
the theme, "Celebrating Life, the Don Bosco Way". The campers
enjoy the various interesting competitions, creative games being organized for
them. For these few days, the boys are totally immersed in the activities
organized for them and forget their home and family. The camp will
conclude on 4th April with the valedictory program. The organizing team
is comprised of the main trio - Bro. Jason Pinto, Bro. Roshan D'Souza and Bro.
Merwin Fernandes together with the active support from Fr. Maxim D'Souza, the
Rector and Fr. Augustine Fernandes, the Administrator and the volunteers - Arun
Mendonca, Arnold Pinto, Sinson, Ravin Carvalho and Glen Menezes. The
other programs that are planned are - Career Thrill for 9th std Boys &
Girls, Bosco Thrill for 9th and 10th std boys & Summer Club for 4th to 10th
std boys and girls.
